I have been sick for a week straight. It was especially bad over the weekend as a fever spiked. And last night it snowed. These kinds of things always seem to happen right at the beginning of a time sensitive challenge I partake in.
If you haven’t been following along, I am addressing a few of the issues with our bathroom since the renovation. As well as adding in a few new decorative pieces for the Primp and Pamper bathroom makeover blog hop hosted by Jeweled Interiors. Last week was the first check in where we laid out what we wanted to get done durinv this challenge. Unfortunately, I haven’t touched my list because of the sickness.
What did you think of Tessie Fay‘s update? If you missed her on the hop, she is the blog before me.
What I had planned on getting done this past weekend was to remove the existing grout and lay down caulk in the spots where caulk is needed.
Instead, I found a few moments on Sunday when I was clear minded enough to find towels I want in the space. I really like my shower curtain because of the colors in it. So I’m going to pull inspiration and use those colors in the towels. I may or may not replace the shower curtain though.
I found budget friendly bath from Target.
I like this one if I’m going to go neutral.
And I’d layer this hand towel over it for color and aesthetic.
But…
I also like this hand towel a lot, too.
While I was on the site, I stumbled across this cabinet that I imagine is primarily designed to be hung above a toilet. Years ago I bought a cabinet from Ikea to hang above the toilet. And I just can’t figure out how to get the entire thing put together. And it’s heavy. I’m not confident I can get it hung by myself. The one from Target seems a bit more promising. I’m going to look into it more…
I really, really wanted to change out the sink for a pedestal or a shallow-er vanity. The clearance between that wall and the vanity is less than 2 feet and it feels like it trying to get back there. Honestly? I’m not so sure it’s in the budget. Pedestal sinks are expensive and I’m having a tough time finding a vanity that’s less than 16 inches deep (the one in there now is 18). I may just paint this one white to open things up… visually.
That’s going to be the end of my rambling of a non update. Any thoughts on the towels? Let me know in the comments below.
And now I ask you to hop on over to A Pinterest Addict where you can check out the progress she’s made this past week! The rest of the challenge participants are below.

Choosing the linens is always tricky, because they have to work with all the other elements, and they’re not usually big enough to set the tone, so it’s really all about matching.
These are great contenders, I’m excited to see how it all turns out.
p.s bad shit ALWAYS happens when Dan leaves for the field. So I can commiserate.

Ahhh I haven’t found towels yet! These are all fun looks. Why is it that the smallest detail is the hardest?;) Feel better lady!

The blue hand towel over either of the prints would be fun but you know I never shy away from pattern!
