Autumn decorating season is upon us. Have you started? I don’t have much up yet but I have been collecting things to put up. Usually for seasonal decorating, I go for creating a vibe. I feel like Fall can go two different ways. The first, warm and vibrant. The second, moody and dark. Today I’m sharing a dark autumn art print collection. One of the easiest ways to decorate seasonally is to swap out art. So let’s take a look.
A trick I’ve used periodically over the years for Holiday and Seasonal decorating is printable art. Additionally, I’ve used the same frames in the same places and simply swapped what art was in it at the time. You could even keep all the prints in the same frame so they’re already there to be changed.
The following are some mockups I created to show how these art prints could be used. They’re selected and designed to coordinate seamlessly together.
Three vertical prints in varying sizes looks great above a dresser. Keep it simple with coordinating gold frames like this one. Alternatively, This set of 7 frames is a fabulous deal.
The orange of the butterfly pops against the deep greenery it’s perched atop. A simple white frame really lets it speak for itself. You could also place it into a square frame to mimic the crop.
You can never go wrong with stunning photography in a dark brown frame. They’re dazzling against white walls and match the ambiance of moodier color. Decorating hack: save on hanging more art with a multi pack of frames.
